Need ideas for a picnic?

This weekend I am taking my daughter(9) out for a picknick. I was thinking maybe near a lake and then afterwords we can go swimming. What foods should I make I am going ALL out. I have the checkered red and white cloth and a traditional picknick basket.

What are some good finger foods (THAT HAVE NO PEANUTS- she's alergic)

What are some good desserts.

I want everything to be homemade.
