Need ideas for art project!!?

Question

well ok, have an art project to do n the theme is a dedicated follower of fashion and im doing a 3d piece!?

anybody got any ideas?!=]

Craft stores sell foam core board which is 1/4" thick and very easy to cut with a sharp craft knife. It isn't very expensive either. You could cut a series of identical human figures to look like a paper doll chain and dress them all according to a definite style, adding embellishments like false eyelashes, painted nails, yarn hair or modified thrift store wigs, thrift store heels on their flat little feet, bangles on their flimsy wrists, give 'em ears for earrings (or a cellphone).You could paint their faces on or use cutouts from photos or ads or add like craft store gems for eyes.

You could make a simple cardboard easel for the back of each so they stand up or you could just glue them to a big piece of decorated cardboard.

By the way there is a name for these things in the retail industry: Flatikins. I know because I've made a ton of prototypes while in the graphics industry. Ours generally just had a photo mounted on them though, but yours could be a real gas!

In a similar way to a donkey following a carrot on a stick, get hold of an old mannequin and position it so that it is crawling on its hands and knees.  Attach a rod to its back extending beyond the head and from this suspend a copy of Vogue.

You could make some clothing for the mannequin to wear made of fake dollar bills, or make a t-shirt for it to wear with the words 'DRESSED TO CONFORM" written on the back.

Your liberal art teacher will love this. ;)

try some sort of a mannequin dressed in trends from various eras in history. umm... try starting in the 1800s and working to the present and only include one piece from an era.
