Question:

Need ideas for shower head holder for daughter to be able to reach?

We have a hand held shower head that sits up high and our daughter can't reach it. We are looking for a temp second holder for the shower head that attaches to the ceramic tiles by suction cups, or something else that doesn't require permanet hardware holes, etc. Not looking for a new shower head, or replacing the existing holder. Any suggestions?

  1. I agree.  What I do for my kids is take it down for them and let it hang on the ground for them to use then I put it back up for the adults.  They love to be able to control it themselves instead of having it fixed to the wall.

I don't understand if you want her to be able to control it then why not leave it down for her?  My 3 & 5 year old can wash their hair with no problem with the hand held one.  All they do is use their hand picks up the shower head and puts it over her head and washes her hair.  For the one that said there is too much pressure they do make hand held ones that do turn off at the shower head itself or if that's too hard to do then prop it against the side of the shower pointing away from the door.

  2. Non knowing your daughter's age, my only suggestion is this:

If the reason you want the shower head higher is because you'd prefer to *see* it that way, please just get real and accomodate your kid instead of expecting someone smaller than you to settle for no control over the water she washes with.

If you've got another reason, I think we should know it before answering your question.

  3. Why not just put it all the way down before her shower and have her leave it down after and go hang it back up?

  4. they have many ideas out for hand held showers. not sure i like the idea of anything not permanet because other things just dont work.

    here is an idea.

  5. Get the ones that are not connected and leave it down!

    Good Luck!

  6. Hi, I had the same need. I ended up having to buy a new shower head set that had a suction cup holder in it.  The suction cup didn't stay put - - but the extra long hose worked well. You see, my son was able to push up on the hose and grab it down to use it.

For the people who are saying  leave it down - if you leave it down and you have strong water pressure - the water will go everywhere.
