  1. anywhere but old san juan, i went there for like 4days and was so bored, we ended up going out of old san juan everday to go to like the beaches. there really isnt much t do there in old san juan

  2. 1 week  for main attractions is  but if you are planning to see everything you have to move here

  3. Two weeks at least, even though is a small Island each place you visit will take a day(caverns, rain forest, etc.).  There is traffic and some roads are rural so the driving time gets prolonged.

  4. You need at least 2 week , we just got back and stayed 10 days and that was not enough. There are to many place to go, but try to go to Fajardo, it about 40 - 50 minutes from San Juan taking Hwy. 3, as you get there look  for the marina so you can take the ferry to Culebra Beach, it was named 1 of the best 10 most beautiful beach of the world, and they are right.

  5. Old San Juan, Rincon Beach, Mayaguez, Playa de Anasco, Las Cuevas de Camuy (caves!!), La Playa Fosforente (The flourescent bay!!!), El Observatorio de Arecibo (the largest radio observatory in the world!!!)....these are just many attractions, this could all be viewed in one week, however, the island can often be difficult to navigate around because roads are hard to follow at times, all the roads are numbers not names.  Two weeks would be optimal if you can afford the trip for two weeks, this will alow you to explore the three rainforests on the island as well.  The best starting location is San Juan, and if you could stay in Old San Juan, that would be amazing, because their are a few Forts around the area as well.  Very Pretty.  I do not have details on Pricing because when I visit , I stay at my grandmothers house : )  The best way to find the best answers is to grab the AAA Puerto Rico travel booklet.

  6. You COULD do it in one week, but you'd be hurried.

I was there for 5 days in November 2 years ago and I did... Day two: Arecibo Observatory and Camuy Caves. I almost went to the Parque Indigena (Taino Ceremonial Site), but my 60-something year old mom was slowing me down. And the road to the Observatory was a bit more windy than I anticipated.

Day three: Caparra Ruins, Bacardi Factory, Dorado Golf course (just to get a hat for a friend) Casinos at night...

Day four: Old San Juan... El Morro, Castillo de San Cristobal, La Fortaleza, Capilla del Cristo, Casa Blanca, Catedral de San Juan, ... I walked around A LOT that day.

I didnt go to the beach, I didnt go to El Yunque (no interest), and Ponce was too far.

I took over 450 pictures... You have to really plan the heck out of it. I think the reason I was able to do so much was because my mom wasnt with me when I went to Old San Juan.

    Buen viaje!
