Need ideas to help with my 3 yo daughter?

Question

She has this habit of playing with her peepee..It drives me nuts! Any time she can, she does..How do I get her to stop doing this? We tell her to sit like a lady, which is a code word for stopping it..But, as soon as she can, she's back at it..Any thoughts? No rude comments please.

This is natural at this age and I don't think you should try to stop it...all my kids so far have done this around that age and have stopped..they are just exploring themselves and learning about themselves...she won't do this forever at least not the experiences I have had and I have 7 kids ages 3 and over...

My daughter does this as well- she just turned 4. If we give her any sort of attention she will continue doing it because she thinks it's funny-same with picking her nose then putting it in her mouth. I used to say that's gross or nasty and she would laugh and do it again. Now I try to ignore it and she usually will get bored and stop. I think the best way to deal with it is to distract her with something else, especially in public you don't want to draw attention to her because then everyone will look and see what she is doing. Kids go thru so many phases and are so different it's really hard to say what to do you just have to know your child and feel your way thru things.(no pun intended=))

I think she's just going trough a phase She's just exploring Probably she knows now that boys and girls are different. My 4 year old does it 2

this must be your first child... all kids do this. they are exploring themselves and i remember getting in trouble for doing that when i was little. is she in preschool yet, that should keep her busy and she will be doing other activities and stop playing with herself.
