Need info about KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION in Brussels?

I would like to know if there are any English medium kindergarten schools in Brussels where the fees are low and we could get admission for our son. We are an asian family and my husband would be moving to Brussels soon. The international schools seem to be very expensive.

  1. Have you tried

-the British International School of Brussels?

    http://www.bisb.org

    Avenue Emile Max, 163

    1030  Schaerbeek

A very good one (excellent) is the Saint John's International School in Waterloo. I think it is a bit cheaper than the other international schools.

Excellent curriculum and very concerned and helpful teachers. (personal experience)

Also, if you have to pay yourselves, they are very understanding and will propose for you to pay on a monthly basis.(unlike some other schools that seem to be more motivated to get children whose studies are paid by companies rather than privately.)

    Here is their link :

For your info, there are some Belgian schools that teach a bilingual curriculum. It may be worthwhile to look into this type of possibility too.

I'll see if i can get some more info and will get back to you if/when I do

    Hope this will help.

    Edit :

From info received (from someone who works at the ministry of education, there are apparently no Belgian accredited schools (government sponsored) that are teaching in English.

Sorry about this misconception but this reminds me that the I was probably thinking about the European School= l'École Européenne where they teach in different languages.

If you can't find what you are really looking for, you could check out the possibilities of having once or twice a week English speaking friends over for you little one. Each parent takes his/her turn to offer his/her home for the little ones while the moms can either chat or do something more useful.

Check out the American Women Association or the British Women association they 'll probably be able to give you better info on this than I can.

    Hope this time this helps.
