I have a CIA question. They deal with foreign affairs, right? What would the section be that deals with missions such as that? Like, sending people out to countries to investigate or something?

  1. the whole CIA deals with exterior issues.  They have regional station managers that oversee sections of the world and our national interests in those regions.  Whether that's espionage protecting diplomats, or supporting coups that are in favor of U.S. policies or that could be put under U.S. influence.  We've even heavily funded major wars unbeknown to the most of the general public - i.e. mujahedeen's in Afghanistan in the 80's...read Charlies Wilson's War if you want some inside CIA info (I imagine it is much richer than the movie).

I'm sure their are many other good CIA book resources that could help you.

They have a classing system for pay/rank.  GS11 is low GS 25 would be high.  That might help some.  Other than that, I can't help you much.

  2. Ok...after 5 tries I kept getting a Yahoo Number 999 Security Violation, I had to send in a report and try again today.

Try: wikipedia.org and type in CIA.  The answer you are looking for is under Regions...and there are 3 of them.   And, Yes, I would take jbock's advice and read Charlie Wilson's War...just for all the little nuances that make a good story great.  Good Luck.
