I need to write a report on two biofuels other than Biodiesel. They only need to be a half page each but I am having an incredibly hard time finding enough info that is not overly scientific that I can use. What 2 fuels would be the easiest to do it on and where on the net can I get info on them?

  1. Do research on diesel made by the Fischer-tropsch process from biomass.

  2. Ethanol

  3. Biofuel may be an oil or an alcohol. If you don't want the biodiesel which is a CME (coco methyl ester) from coconut then try FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) the generic name, the source can be peanut, palm or jatrupa. Ethanol and methanol are some sources of biofuel. Search the web using MSDS then ethanol. The problem from importing this fuel is the increase in moisture content during travel or steaming days so this should be produce locally from cassava and sugarcane and methanol from woods and bagasse. Ethanol technology is high in Brazil where it can be used as much as 80% blend. Methanol can be sourced from South Africa. To import ethanol, it should first pass a dryer before blending to a maximum of 10% according to Dr. Prasan of India.

To get a 16 item information of ethanol, search the web using MSDS ethanol, this will link you to other sites such as the manufacturer, the MARPOL, etc
