Need info on w-2?

i need info from my w-2 because i can't find the copies my mom made me since they've already been mailed off. (because i've been moving by stuff out of my dorm back into my old room at home). hopefully i'll find them soon, but just in case, could i call the tax place that did them to get info? or what else could i do? I may need them for the fafsa (i know the deadline passed) because sometimes the school wants to see them before classes start in the fall just in case. what should i do?

Talk to your employer that issued the W-2.  Those are the people who can replace the form with a copy.  That is all you need to do.  You may need them if you are selected for a process called verification.  Then the financial aid office will likely request them.  If you ask your employer now for the form it will help you move things along faster if you are selected for verification.
