I am buying a late model Marlette mobile home which I will be putting on my property to be used as a outbuilding for family hobbies (scrap booking, painting, sewing, etc.) and maybe as a hangout space for the teenagers with pool table and such.

I would like to get more information on this building but have no idea how to find it, Google has not been a help. So here is what I know about it:

Made by Marette Homes

Current owner THINKS it is a 1968 (but he was really not sure)

it is a single wide 12x65'

kitchen is in the front and is split level with 2 steps to get into kitchen.

There are 2BR and 1BA

Has 2 doors both on right side and lots of windows in living room on left side

Roof is not pitched, it is mosty flat (slightly "rounded" for drainage) except for elevation change over split level kitchen

It has 3 axles

On the tounge "PA 4017 S 90002" is stamed on it

I have emailed Marette for info, but they have yet to respond.

  1. All you need to do i call the Marlette factory with the serial number and the model number.

I doubt they'll have any info. That is a REALLY old house.

Your best bet is to call any manufactured homes service company and ask if they do house inspections.  They will be able to tell you if there are any VISUAL problems, but not much more.
