Question:

Need interior design help for bathroom color...badly!

Our bathroom is really giving us a hard time.

It is an extremely bright room with the sky light and the window.

The paint chips always look different in this room for some reason.

Our floor is off white and beige, so is the counter top.

The tile in the bath is bright white with faint blue

The toilet, tub and sink is bone color.

Most colors are turning out pastey looking. We want something traditional classic. The shower curtain doesn't have to stay.

We think the blue in that room now looks too baby boy bedroom like.

Any input at all is really appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

  1. You can paint over tiles!

I've seen it, and it looks beautiful; infact elegant.

If the room is very sunny, warm cotto tones in a toscana style will swallow all that light and make it more cozy.

Big, heavy, fluffy towels in beige, offset the brown-redish tones. A large toscana vase with a palm tree would really give flair. Stick to those colours, and you won't want to leave your bath room.

  2. I think a green would look really good in that. Not like green as in crayola green but green-grayish.

After going to this website, it asks you how you want to explore the color, hit by name and it allows you to type the name of the color you want. I would suggest either April Mist or Southern Breeze. Hope it helps.
