Question:

Need internet service without cable or phone company?

I have Direct TV for tv service and Qwest for internet. I'm getting overbilled by Qwest and need to get rid of them fast. I cannot afford their service. I need internet, but have no phone at home, only a cell. I don't have a laptop.

Any suggestions for service? Direct TV uses Qwest for internet service so that won't help me.

Cox Cable is not an option. I had the same problem with them overbilling me - only worse.

I'm in Phoenix, Az.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. Hmmmm.. ..   Everybody overbills you?

Or do you just not read the contracts?

  2. motosat.

    hughesnet.

but be prepared to buy $700.00 worth of antenna and receivers then $99.00 per month.

if you are being over billed, call your state consumer protection agency for qwest and the fcc for directtv.

you can use your cell phone as a modem, but it is dialup speeds.

  3. Satellite internet can be slow compared to cable or FIOS. As for price, I use a landline with DSL at $19.95, which is reasonable, and trouble free.

  4. Check out www.wildblue.com

    It's satellite internet.
