Need interview subjects for my sociology project on Mail Order Brides?

A married Mail order bride

A close relative of a mail order bride

Child of a MOB couple

Single (hoping to be) a MOB

Wow! This sounds like a pretty interesting project. I feel your pain on how to reach willing participants! It can be really tough. You are definitely trying to access an underground population.

If I were you, I would start e-mailing or calling people involved in mail order bride matchmaking. You need to get a key informant that can lead you to the next person you need. The hardest part is getting that first person (key informant).  I would look on the internet and see if you can locate a bride on the market. Call her, explain what you are doing and she probably knows someone who is already married. Make sure you assure the person that everything is voluntary and will be kept confidential.  I hope this helps. Good Luck!
