Need investment advice!?

I put $2000 in some oppenheimer mutual funds in 1999 and today my balance is $2050. Anyone have suggestions as to where I should move it?

  1. check morningstar.com for the highest ranked S&P index funds w/the lowest fees.   many require minimum investment amounts, but you should be able to get into some decent ones w/only $2,000.  be careful of any hidden account closing fees Oppenheimer might try to hit you with.  Make sure to ask about that.

    You may also want to invest in TIPS, which are inflation adjusted tbills.  also highly rated (AAA) corporate debt is probably a good investment as well.


  2. Move it to one of their index funds preferably the Total Stock Market Index Fund. You have to add to it through the years as well.

  3. Gold will allways increase in value.

  4. I like the Hartford Checks and Balances Fund, and also the ICA from American Funds.  You may want to find a qualified investment advisor to handle your finances.
