Question:

Need key switch wiring for old Johnson engine?

Have an old Johnson Evenrude engine and the key switch caught on fire and all the wires burned off. Have a new swith pollak #33-105 Need a wiring shemic for it. Dealer doesn't have one available they suggested to get a newer boat. Can anyone help??

  2. Looking at the back of the switch...there are two top leads. They should be marked by the letters "S" on the left and "A" on the right. The S goes to your solenoid lead via a 16ga wire. The A goes to the choke switch and temp warning light. Below them is two "M"s. The left one goes to the lead assembly to your points. The right one goes to your cut-out switch. Both are 18ga wire. Last you have the "BAT" that goes to the "GEN" side of the Ammeter gage via 14ga wire. I hope that this helps you out......Happy Boating!
