Question:

Need lots of community service for school.... need ideas!!

for school this coming year we have to find one specific place to volunteer our time at and fill up at least 45 community service hours. i've been trying to think of a good place to volunteer at but need some ideas... any suggestions???

um... a little about me: i'm 15, going into 10th grade & turning 16 in december, can drive (my brother's teaching me), but don't have a license yet, love animals, love sports, and love kids. i don't mean to sound mean... but i couldn't volunteer at a hospital because it makes me really sad and also i'm very queasy and scared of diseases, etc. can't even take a shot without practically fainting. but, besides that, i can do heavy-duty work.

i don't have lots of free time what with school, sports, and i DO need some time to hang with friends, so i'm looking for something that i could do maybe on, like, sundays? preferably a place where i would be able to meet ppl and there would be other kids my age there who i could hang with.

oh and also, not to brag, but i'm pretty good at school, so i could do something like helping kids with hw.

u can do volunteer work at the boys and girls club (it is a low income day care)  u said u like working with kids so i think that would be a good community service u can help the kids with home work, and lots of other stuff and it would look good ON your resume later on to!!!

When i was your age a couple years ago,I went with my church to New Orleans after Katrina hit and that will look really good for school plus it's just nice to help out,ya know?

Try the local soup kitchen or homeless shelter or a daycare for special needs children.I have done that as well and I really recommend that.

well sometimes local fire houses have pizza sales. and you could go their and help make the pizza`s or help make the boxes. you dont even have to know anybody to get into the firehouse.
