Hey ppl. I might need to take an emergency snowboard trip to Utah to get my snowboarding fix. I don't have a board bag yet. Whats the best/cheapest/airport appropriate substitute way to pack it and take it on a plane?

I was considering just stuffing padding into the plastic zipper bag the board came in but I don't know how durable that bag is.

  1. Stick it in the original boardbag and wrap on like 3 layers of cardboard around it really tight so theres no room for the board to move. Thats how i got my board when i ordered it online and it arrived in perfect condition. It came all the way from Pensylvania to Vancouver so its not like it was a light trip either.

  2. try bubble wrap  instead of the stuffing padding in the plastic zipper bag the board came in unless that what u mean

  3. alright, this is what i did. i wrapped it twice in bubble wrap. then i took two large black garbage bags and duct taped it so that it didnt have any loose ends and was tight. i was also bored and created a handle too but thats just me. this worked really well for me so should you choose to do it it should work well for you as well

  4. shove it in a old sleeping bag, then just put it in a zipper bag, the sleeping bag should provide enough padding

  5. A layer or two of bubble wrap, then take some cardboard and wrap it around that.  Only put a bit of tape on so you can show them at the airport what it is then tape it up more.

Or just go buy a bag.  If travelling with your board is something you plan to do more than once it'd be well worth it.

  6. I have to ship all my bags to Aspen if you want to go withe the pricey stuff get the ride board bag. It's the best for your money.  If you don't have money than just take of the boots and binding and bubble wrap it. Then put the boots and bindings in a bag.  Sweet Bro!!!

  7. try get them on replicatycoon.com  replica bags it cheap and shipping fast it a quaity as real bags
