  1. Check out Shu Chen Jenny's Montessori albums and Montessori World (both online). Also see if your library has Elizabeth Hainstock's book for Preschool Years or David Gettman's "Basic Montessori".

  2. You should really ask for Kindergarten stuff.  Unless she is going to a private school, this is the grade she will be going into, not 1st grade.

Go to your local Wal mart and buy a workbook for preschool level.  That is what you will want.

Also, there are some sites that offer printable worksheets from those books.

If you ask for the Montessori course plan it will start with plans for those age 6 and above, and if you try to push it on your daughter, it could confuse her to no end.

All you really need to prepare her is counting, colors and letters.  Most kindergarteners should know how to write their first and last name.

  3. My first question is why is your daughter going into first grade Montessori next year if she is four now?  She should be with her peers in the 3-6 classroom.

Remember to not do too much in terms of the materials you are thinking of at home.  This will cause them to not be as interested in it at school.  Chances are, you will also not be fully trained on the materials.

With that said, if you want information on how to help her in Montessori first grade, help her find things she is interested in.  That's where Montessori starts.  From that, you learn other things as well.
