  1. in Bangkok, don't miss:

-Grand Palace & nearby Wat Po where you can see giant gold reclining buddha

-Chinatown (Chinese food are great! excellent for shopping)

-and further more shopping in Siam Paragon, MBK, Gaysorn Plaza, Lumpini Park and local markets

    - restaurants along the chaopraya river http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Down%2...

Phuket: there are several excellent beaches. The waters are

usually clear and very good for diving. As long as you avoid the usually crowded Patong and Karon beaches on the west coast, you can easily find remote beaches for walking, jogging, or just relaxing. There are not many sights to speak of on the island, but perhaps that makes it all so relaxed. Two of the main attractions near Phuket are the Phi Phi Islands and the Phang Nga Bay, with the so-called James Bond Island. The name comes from The Bond film "Man with The Golden Gun" which was partly filmed on this small island. There is a good choice of organized day trips from Phuket to

both the Phi Phi Islands and Phang Nga Bay.

  4. Without knowing your budget or what you like to see and do

Googling "What to see and do in Thailand" will give you an overall idea of what to see.  Lots and lots of links show up when you use Google!

For specific questions you can also go to these travel websites.  These websites can give you hotel recommendations (mention how much you want to pay per night, not cheap or middle price, a rough baht amount.)

You might want to try Chiang Mai this time, many countries have beaches but only Thailand has Chiang Mai!  You can take an overnight sleeper train from Bangkok and arrive in Chiang Mai in the morning and have almost the whole day for shopping or tours.   For tours in Bangkok or Chiang Mai find the nearest travel agency and check out their selection list of tours.  Travel agents book tours - some hotels also can book tours for you too.

    Have a nice trip.
