  1. It depends on your ability level and how much stiffness you want.

In my experience, my favorities have always been the rossi's. I have a pair of world cup gx9s from a few years ago which are great.

But, it's really a matter of personal preference. I know that a lot of people like the Volkl Race Tigers because they are on the more flexible than the Fischers and Atomics - they are smooth and easier to handle. That being said, they don't have as much durability as the stiffer skis which won't wear out as quickly and will continue having a strong snap-back.

I've heard really good things about the fischers from last year and the year before; i'm not up to date on them this year. But they're a stiff ski and if you can handle them, they have a lot of power potential - both slalom and gs.

If in your question you mean that you want one pair of skis to race both slalom and gs, then I would definately just buy a pair of slalom skis, because you can physically race SL in a GS course but not vice-versa (disaster). If you ski in the league like USSA racing, you need to remember that there are length restrictions on the skis you use. I believe for men SL skis have to be a min of 165 (cm) and GS have to be a min of 185.

  2. fishers are the best company, and then volkl

    good luck
