Need of a great poetry writer...?

My mother is my best friend, and I would love to write her a poem about how much I love spending time with her. We love to go shopping, go to the movies, decorate our houses, and eat at California Pizza Kitchen. Any ideas??

An acrostic is an easy way to write a tribute.  Take your mother's name and the first letter of ever line spells it, then work from there. For example if her name was Rose:

Remember the laughter that we always share,

on the days we shop and devour our pizza.

Shopping with you is one of the ways we know

every day is a blessing with you for my friend.

I hope this helps you in writing a tribute to your mother.  It will be the best in the world to her because YOU wrote it.

Many people capitalize each line, but I only capitalize it if the previous line was the end of the sentence.  I prefer punctuation to match English grammar.

It seems that you and I have quite similar tales to tell

Because I love my daughter, who is my best friend, as well.

And, yes, our interests are amazingly the very same ones you list above,

Who wouldn't enjoy pizza, movies, shopping ~ especially with someone you so deeply love?

Without my daughter I would be lost - she is my greatest gift

When I am down and need a friend, she's always there to lift

My spirits by listening to me and giving advice that I truly value

She is my rock and I am hers ~ for each other we'll always be true.

Did I mention how very proud I am of her -- she is every mother's dream

As lovely as she is on the outside, it is impossible, or so it would seem
