Question:

Need opinion on good comfortable exercise shoes?

I do a lot of exercise to stay in shape. I have usually worn cheap no brand shoes that I also wear at work in a warehouse. I would say I am in good shape, can mountain bike 20+ miles, run a mile in 6 min etc. However at work just from standing all day my legs and feet get abnormally sore and tired and I think a better pair of shoes would help out. What male shoes should I look into that I can run and walk around in? Thanks in advance.

  1. I don't know how their male brands are, but Iove acis running shoes. I wear them all the time, even when I'm not running.

  2. Go to a store that specializes in athletic shoes, particularly running in general.  They'll do things like put you on special scales, make you run on a treadmill, ect. all to find out thinks like how heavy you run, how big your arches are, what points on your feet do you put the most weight on, and so on.  This is just because everyone is different when it comes to natural running style, and there's a different shoe out there for everyone.  Once this is all done, there'll be a shoe that meets your body's specifications, and using your legs would much less painless.

I mean, that's for running.  It'll help for walking too, but I can't garantee how long that'll last.  Walking kills shoes, it flattens the inside out much more than running, just because your walking the majority of the time, not running.  When we move, we move differently depending on speed, we all walk different than we jog, and we all jog different than we sprint.  Ultimatly meaning, we wear our shoes out in different ways depending on weather we run or walk more in them, and if they've been worn out in a way other than what we're using them for, then it's just like wearing the wrong shoe.  None the less, your shoes probably will wear out fast, faster if you both walk and run in them.  And just walking alone, it's recomended that you change your shoe like every 6 months or something depressing like that.

So I'd recomend that, if you can afford it, getting a seperate pair for walking and running would be the best, and the best way to lose your pain.  None the less, following the first paragraph will help at least some.

  3. I use Nike Air to run in. They are relatively cheap (I got them for around $40 at Famous Footwear) and they have good cushioning and support. If you are looking for a nice pair of shoes made specifically for running I would go with Nike brand.

They should say running because Nike also makes walking, biking, lounging, etc. shoes. If you need help with some running shoes ask a clerk and they will know what to tell you.

  4. You need a shoe that has air pockets I guess.

  5. nike air maybe
