Need opinions on Ferret cage.?

Question

I know Ferret Nations are said to be the best cages on the market for Ferrets, but recently a woman offered to sell me this one for $250

It stands 5' also comes with a stand with rollers that makes it another 10" high.

It is new and includes hammocks and a lot of other accessories.

With probably some cage/ramp lining, does it look to be a good one?

What did she pay originally?

It is a nice cage but you might want to see it before you decide. Make sure it is sturdy.

Why is she wanting to get rid of it?

I'm a huge fan of the Ferret Nation cages, but that one you have pictured looks like a nice one. The only thing I don't like about it is the wire platforms/shelves. If you do get it, I suggest covering the shelves with something (if the lady you buy it from doesn't already have them covered). I've heard of people covering wire shelves with vinyl squares. Other than the wire shelves, I think it should be a nice home for your fuzzies.

People really love ferret nation cages and the price is good.  Personally, I hate the wire floors on all the levels.  I prefer cages with the plastic platforms instead of the wiring platforms. It makes sores on their feet.  And, I hate to have to cover all the ramps and platforms with cloth.

I like this cage except for the wheels, the are weak and tend to bend, but I took this cage and added the top of another smaller cage to this one and made a castle.  I use the bottom of the cage to fit 3 cat litter pans (it is really easy to take out each pan individually for cleaning) and the next layer is a platform with a cat litter pan filled with lambs wool and blankets.  I stagger the platforms so the can move up the cage easily.  The middle of the cage has the tube and a big cube with all the blankets and lambs wool plus the food station.  (This is where the second door is )  I have more little pan beds and hammocks and the top of the cage is the best part.  The layer is a big hamnock that has a hole on the underside and a hole for the top of the hammock.  My kids go up there and rung through the tunnels or just sleep.  I don't have to cover the platforms with cloth because they move easily from one layer to the next and they never poo anywhere but in the bottom of the cage.

years ago, I had a BIG cage for mine that was only fifty bucks.

i guess it does though the floor should be covered if it's wire which it looks to be. it seems like it might be a pain to clean though, like dust wise.
