Need opinions on Jacksonville, North Carolina?

My 2 mid twenties friends are going down to Jacksonville north carolina for a few days and they are curious about what to expect. Earthy people you could say. Artistic, musical, you know what I mean. Will they hate this town? Any opinions??

I'm stationed in Jacksonville.  Not to disappoint you, but it's sort of a seedy little town.  Lots of wierdos, crazies.  Watch out for the "Jacksonville ninja" lol.

No but it's just a military town without much to do in terms of culture and music.

Message me with what you like and I can point you in the right direction.  

What are you going for?  Bars? tattoes? There's not much in jacksonville except for that.   The mall is tiny too.  Folks like to go hangout at the Walmart. (That should tell you how much this town sucks)
