Need opinions on this subject!?

I started talking to a gentleman on Yahoo Answeres via E mail and we hit it off really quick. He wants to send me a phone card for my birthday so I can call him. I have not met this man and I refused. When I refused he got really upset with me. I have a good job and can provide minutes for my own phone. Was I wrong in refusing his gift?

No, I think you were right. You don't know this guy, for all you know he could be some pedophile or freak. You made the right choice.
