Need "P&S Genius" help with my digital camera...?

Question

I bought a Nikon Coolpix L16 camera. I have properly installed the software and changed the autoplay settings to recognize Nikon Transfer program but the transfer program will not launch automatically. When I launch it manually it does not recognize that my camera is connected. My operating systen and device manager shows the camera connected but I still can't download my stupid pictures...I'm open for any and all suggestions to fix this P.O.S. problem...Thanks Guys!

i think you should move his question to technology or computers or something, you might get more results.

Sorry susie.. I have a Kodak and knock on wood it seems to work as claimed so far. With the little I know about computers, and having read your description, the only thing I can think of right now is to remove the software and try re loading it. I remember having to do that with our old Fuji camera, which seemed to fix the problem. We are running XP, so not sure if that is different from what you have.

I am not familiar with that camera, but a card reader would work so much smoother...
