Need recommendation for affordable hotel for 1week family vacation for 4 in city center of paris?

I've looked around and it's all so expensive because all hotels make u get 2 rooms. it turns out to be over $300-$600 per night which is very expensive. how do europeans afford to take vacations in paris? is there some trick to make it more affordable as a family?

This is a charming but basic hotel. No elevators, no television, no minibars, no room service, no pool, and no exercise room. Just clean beds, friendly staff, en suite modern bath and WC, and a perfect, central location in a wonderful lively neighborhood.
