  1. There are no beta blockers that are currently sold over the counter - they're all prescription only. If you're on good terms with your doctor, and he's reasonably familiar with your medical condition he may be willing to phone in a prescription to a pharmacy of your choice - don't count on it though. Most people don't see their doctor often enough for them to be comfortable doing this - even though beta blockers are fairly safe meds.

  2. Propanolol is often prescribed. But I would suggest going to your doctor for this. Or, relax, take a deep breathe, and believe you can do what you need to do. Taking a beta blocker may be a deterrent for you since you are not used to taking it and there may be adverse effects that you wouldn't want to feel during your performance.

  3. First of all, beta blockers can have serious side effects, so you won't see them sold OTC.  They are prescription only.  Beta blockers can lower your heart rate and blood pressure to dangerously low levels if they aren't treating a heart condition.  They will also worsen asthma.

You might be able to get a physician to prescribe one for you, but I'd be very careful.  You might end up passing out instead of performing.
