  1. You've got every right to every single question.  I can't answer it all in one blurb, but your growth as a person that can answer your doubts is not going to come from people with angles, whether christian or atheist.  It's going to come from what is the right fit for you.

There is nothing wrong with what you watch.  I make the case that God is quite a supporter of sharp satire.

I doubt parts of the bible myself, I doubt the fundies horribly.  The atheists have chose to believe nothing and that I view as their loss.

I agree with conducting a one-on-one relationship with the Lord and leaving it there.  That may not work for you.  Time is going to tell you where you belong, not a bunch of sleepless overgrown kids like me and them on a YA board.

    Be well.

    Sincerely,

    Doublequinella, The Christian Libertarian

  2. Hey there,

Like the answer above said, people have agendas here and this is probably not the best place to get this kind of advice. Try going to your youth group (if your in your youth that is) (if you have one) or talk it over with a close friend.

I've gone through periods of my life where I don't feel that God is there, caring or if He actually has a purpose in my life. Or when I do something bad that I feel like you do.

But the only thing you can do is honestly seek Him. The times I feel closest are when I just give myself up for 10 minutes of prayer and just thought, and Bible reading. It really is when you fully give yourself up that God will begin to work in your life.

I'm not expert and I'm not what I would consider a 'good' Christian... Just those are my thoughts :)

  4. this may help 1cor 10:13 (to paraphrase) there is nothing which will hapen to you that hasnt happened to someone else. God will never allow u to be tested beyond that which u can handle and he will always show u way out

this means 1 peoples faith is tested all the time not just your but many peoples (perhaps even everyone)

2 if He allows your faith to be tested it is because He know for sure that u can handle it if u try. u may make a free will coice to just give up but He knows u CAN handle it if u try

i often find comfort and strength in this scripture please read it for yourself

  5. To be spiritual, you do not Have to Believe in Jesus.

  6. to be honest this probably isn't the best place to seek advice (lots of people with different agendas here, try a specifically christian website)

eg. http://www.christianchat.co.uk/, http://www.worthychristianforums.com/ind... or something like that , quite a few out there :)

  7. A Christian can watch those movies if they want to since the Bible doesn't forbid it. However, God's Spirit works in his children's lives to make them more like Jesus over time. So if the Spirit tells a person that it isn't in God's will for them to engage in an activity that the Bible doesn't specifically prohibit and they resist the work of the Spirit then He will bring or allow things like doubts to enter their mind in order to move them along the path of His choosing. If a person keeps resisting the work of the Spirit they can get irritable because they are fighting against God even if they don't consciously realize it.

  8. why don't you check on other religions, you know there are many mistakes in Christianity.

i am not telling you to ignore God,, i am just advising to find another religion that you may feel comfortable with.

  9. Well as much as you feel the need to rely on God for the most part of your life, you do have to remember that God gave us free wil and that means that we make our own choices in life as long as we are prepared to live with the consequences.  By this I mean that if you are to watch films that you feel conflict with your faith, do not be disheartened by it, God gave youe choice to watch those films, but more importantly, has watching those films made you any worse of a person?  I should think not, if you really are a good honest person, God will reward you for that.

Also it means that by having this free will, God will not always be there to make you feel if you have made the right choices, you have to do what suits you, everyone is different, but as I say, its who you are as a person that God cares about, you cannot be sheilded from sin, you will on most occassions embrace it, but when it somes to putting others before yourself, and behaving in a polite manner, you can be rest assured that God will cherish that and you can feel that God loves you.

  10. Being saved isn't a feeling; it's an awareness- a "knowing". Once you get past this hurdle, the rest will all fall into place.

  11. Yeah.. you ought to switch to South Park!... It sure beats any slaughter house religion....

You probably heard the name of "SLAUGHTER HOUSE RELIGION" given to Christianity... actually ALL Christians need to EAT Jesus Christ in some way as part of the salvation package... A lot of these primitive silly and embarrassing Church dogmas are still carried on in a more private setting away from the TV cameras, but they still do it!

Jesus talked about eating his meat and drinking his blood for salvation from Eve’s original sin (John 6:53). Most of his Jewish followers wouldn’t stomach so much grossness and quit following him. Jesus later on softened up his rhetoric. Today, Christians snack on his meat and drink his blood in the Sacrament of the Holy Communion or “The LORD’s Supper” (Jesus is the meal)! Most Christians read the Bible as a Holy Duty without paying attention to what they read! There is more brutal violence in the Bible than in any TV show or in the movies. In the Bible God rewards people committing the most heinous crimes as long as they do it to further the cause of God! Islam copied the same idea from the Bible! God picks most of his Heroes based on their past criminal performance like Moses, David, and even Saint Paul, just to mention a few. All the Bible versions including the KING JAMES VERSION promote the killing of infants!

Psalm 137:8-9 (NIV) O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us- he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.

The Bible teaches that the enemies of God ought to be killed in their infancy when it is easier to get rid of them! The Bible strategy of over 2,000 years ago was not abortion, but the killing of infants AFTER THEY ARE BORN and before they grow up and become a menace to God’s chosen people when not even God can help!  (Judges 1:19)

Revelation 2:23 (NIV) (Jesus says in his apocalyptic REVELATION for the last days) I WILL STRIKE HER CHILDREN DEAD* (*Just for the heck of it! No abortionist can beat Jesus at killing babies… AMEN???... This time it is Sweet Jesus killing the innocent children to announce his 2nd coming and at the same time to teach everybody in the Churches a lesson on WHO IS THE BOSS! In our society today Jesus Christ would be in jail for promoting the KILLING OF CHILDREN to favor a particular religion that’s why Christians are so selective in what they teach from the Bible! They came up with the PRO-LIFE bit on their own to dissociate themselves from this REVELATION…!) Then ALL THE CHURCHES WILL KNOW that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.* (*Not even the Mafia bosses measure up to Jesus!)

Jesus Christ suggested the slaughter by drowning of anybody causing a Christian who is weak in the Faith to stumble… He also suggested the shedding of body parts, including male castration to avoid sin and make it into the Kingdom of Heaven!  Most Christians today don’t pay attention to Jesus’ gory suggestions, but throughout the Christian Era many people paid with their lives for disobeying the Clergy, including “witches” and slaves that were abused and killed here in America ONE NATION UNDER GOD!

I hope that you had the chance to read all of the above... JESUS CHRIST IS THE PERSON THAT CHRISTIANS NEED TO CANNIBALIZE and de facto swallow in the Holy Communion... Spiritually speaking, of course! It takes years of Christian Bible schooling to learn how to do it just right or Christians can get real sick and die! Protestants have relaxed this pronouncement, but Catholics still believe that the host and wine is magically transformed into the ACTUAL meat and blood of Jesus so extraordinary measures are taken after Mass to monitor that no trace of the body of Jesus Christ is found in any spent chewing gum stuck under the church pews, and so on!

1 Corinthians 1:29-30 (KJV) For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep* (*have died).

I’m getting a lot of email clarifying that The Bible is not to be taken literally, but I know of priests who are collecting the chewing gum from under the church pews for proper disposal in a show of love and devotion to the actual body of Jesus. They are dead serious and ought to be commended for their gullibility… Oops…! Sorry, Faith!

  12. All I can do is share a bit of my story with you and see if it resonates with you in any way. If so, then follow your heart. To keep it short, I am leaving out a large number of details.

I was raised Southern Baptist. Dad was the head deacon for most of my life, though at different churches when he and mom moved their membership the times they did. Around age seven or eight I started wondering about some things I was taught. Never got a satisfactory answer. About a decade later and much study left me as a staunch atheistic Agnostic. I heard about the Baha'i Faith. Thought it was a cult and set out to rescue a friend. I am one now, but that process took even longer than a decade. Baptist pride themselves on being spiritual and they are. But if spirituality was turned into water, Baptists would have a pitcher sitting on the kitchen table. Baha'is would have the Pacific Ocean. Atheists pride themselves on being logical and rational, and to an extent they are, but same story with them and the Baha'is. Did you ever wonder how a Jew could know about Jesus and still reject Him being the Messiah? Although it was the hardest thing for me to deal with, today I do not see how any Christian can study Who Baha'u'llah claimed to be and not recognize Him. Read Revelation 3:12 and notice Jesus said He would have a new name when He returned. Why would He have a new name if it was the same body? I feel the only cure for doubt is an infusion of fact. Take it or leave it, but you asked for my opinion and my advice.

    ===============

Say, O followers of the Son![Jesus] Have ye shut out yourselves from Me by reason of My Name? Wherefore ponder ye not in your hearts? Day and night ye have been calling upon your Lord, the Omnipotent, but when He came from the heaven of eternity in His great glory, ye turned aside from Him and remained sunk in heedlessness.

Consider those who rejected the Spirit [Jesus] when He came unto them with manifest dominion. How numerous the Pharisees who had secluded themselves in synagogues in His name, lamenting over their separation from Him, and yet when the portals of reunion were flung open and the divine Luminary shone resplendent from the Dayspring of Beauty, they disbelieved in God, the Exalted, the Mighty. They failed to attain His presence, notwithstanding that His advent had been promised them in the Book of Isaiah as well as in the Books of the Prophets and the Messengers. No one from among them turned his face towards the Dayspring of divine bounty except such as were destitute of any power amongst men. And yet, today, every man endowed with power and invested with sovereignty prideth himself on His Name. Moreover, call thou to mind the one who sentenced Jesus to death. He was the most learned of his age in his own country, whilst he who was only a fisherman believed in Him. Take good heed and be of them that observe the warning.

    (Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 9)

O Jews! If ye be intent on crucifying once again Jesus, the Spirit of God, put Me to death, for He hath once more, in My person, been made manifest unto you. Deal with Me as ye wish, for I have vowed to lay down My life in the path of God. I will fear no one, though the powers of earth and heaven be leagued against Me. Followers of the Gospel! If ye cherish the desire to slay Muhammad, the Apostle of God, seize Me and put an end to My life, for I am He, and My Self is His Self. Do unto Me as ye like, for the deepest longing of Mine heart is to attain the presence of My Best-Beloved in His Kingdom of Glory. Such is the Divine decree, if ye know it. Followers of Muhammad! If it be your wish to riddle with your shafts the breast of Him Who hath caused His Book the Bayan to be sent down unto you, lay hands on Me and persecute Me, for I am His Well-Beloved, the revelation of His own Self, though My name be not His name. I have come in the shadows of the clouds of glory, and am invested by God with invincible sovereignty. He, verily, is the Truth, the Knower of things unseen. I, verily, anticipate from you the treatment ye have accorded unto Him that came before Me. To this all things, verily, witness, if ye be of those who hearken. O people of the Bayan! If ye have resolved to shed the blood of Him Whose coming the Báb hath proclaimed, Whose advent Muhammad hath prophesied, and Whose Revelation Jesus Christ Himself hath announced, behold Me standing, ready and defenseless, before you. Deal with Me after your own desires.

    (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 100)

  13. Our doubts are our traitors...if you want something, or believe something, then go  ahead and try to do it without reservation after introspection,  introspection brings about doubts, when you no longer harbor doubts... bully for you.
