With the cost of basics like food fuel/gas/electric going SKY high, I am starting to spend more money than I earn (It CAN NOT go on) I need to tighten my belt with my spending. Has anyone got any good cash saving tips please. Appart from shop at Netto/Aldi (I would rather top myself than shop there)

Thank you for all your answers...

  1. Gonna have to stop your luxury living at tesco and take the walk of shame to lidl... you can save up to 60% on products.

  2. You could kill two birds with one stone. Cut down on food bills by not eating as much, so then when you go out you will get drunk faster and therefor reduce money spent on a night out. lol.

Seriously, try walking or buy a scooter instead of using a car. Make sure you turn lights off when you leave the room and if your on a tight budget there is nothing wrong with shopping at Aldi unless your a snob. Or buy tescos/asda/sainsbury's own brand food if you cant bring yourself to shop at less reputable food stores.

  3. Energy saving lightbulbs

    turn the thermostat down

plan your meals per week (so u will have a planned shopping list for the week this saved me loads)

buy offers buy 1 get 1 free

cant you offer lifts to work take it in turns one week do you have colleagues you can do this with

    walk more

Use a washing line to wash your clothes instead of the tumble drier

Put a jumper on before you turn the heating on
