Need some advise about alternative energy, and apprenticeship program.?

Hi and thank you for taking your precious time to help me out. I'm 25 y.o. and I've been thinking about working in Alternative Energy field and recently applied for this 5 year apprenticeship program with local union since Alternative energy field deals with electrics. I also passed the aptitude test too. So my question is should I go with it or should I try to go school for Alternative energy? Any help is very much appreciated folks, Thank you again....

  1. I don't know anything about your programs, but if you're interested in the Alt. Energy field, then you should go for it.  Personally I would recommend getting some kind of college degree, at least an Associates, in something like electronics.  Once you have that degree it can never be taken away.  Some of these certificates you have to renew every few years to stay current.
