Need some advise i`m looking at jail time for something i didnt do ?

Heres the thing ok one day we noticed that our baby wasn`t moving his arm and we took him to the hospital and found couple fractures and i got blame and looking at jail time,Now i didnt do this to my son and i was thrown in jail now out on bail. since i`ve been out till now,my wife heard her father say" i`m sorry i didnt mean to hurt you" to our baby,and when asked why he said that he replied oh um um i was just saying and he has keeped saying sorry to him times after that and has asked him if he wanted him to take our son to heaven to see the angels and said hes"our son" on a misson from heaven and his missions almost over.Her father is bipolar and says jesus and god talk to him telling him to do things,Now i have a lawyer and told him this what do you think will happen my hearings start next month oh ya one other thing he also said he saw me do this and has couple stories about how it happened which my wife is always there and knows its bull I`m looking at 5 years. He has also cme to my house since i`m not alowed around my kids and as said to e that he dosen`t want to hurt our son and has keeped saying its all his fault not saying what and saying sorry still

You have done everything you can. Your lawyer will bring all that up. Make sure he does.

Depending on what state you are in, get a recording of him saying it, and try to get him to admit it.  Because frankly, he sounds like he is a bit off of his rocker.  And the only real way that you get the jail time is usually if there is some sort of evidence, whether it is being physical, or anything to that affect.  But, like I said before, try to get him to admit it, and make sure that it is recorded, and you can possibly use that in court.  And, last, but not least, don't worry about it too much, what will happen, will happen, you really have no control over it.  Wish you the best, and hope this helped.

Wow, what the h**l is up with that. Have you been found guilty if this? I dont understand, what is your wife saying about this doesnt she know that you didnt do it and that her father is a looney? As long as you have an attorney that you communicate with and tell him EVERYTHING then you should be ok. If her father did this then there is no way you should take the fall for it.

Tell your lawyer all about your father in law. If is a halfway decent lawyer the judge or prosecutor will see this case for what it is. There has to be a reason they threw you in jail in the first place though. Why did they suspect you?

if you were charged there has to be more evidence to this matter that the police found. was your wife's father in the house with the baby when this happened? do you have witnesses that can verify this? you will remain free during this ordeal and it will be up to your lawyer to get and produce evidence that your father in law suffers from this condition and was responsible for your child's injuries.
