Need some good suggestions for fundraisers for headstart.?

my daughter is in early headstart, and most of the parents are not really into helping the program. the last fundraiser we had...only 4 parents showed up to help. but since they are not very outspoken in the meetings...i need some suggestions for fundraisers to bring up to the director. thanks...

I thought you weren't allowed to have fund raisers for Headstart,since it's a government founded program.I believe that's what we were told last year at a policy council meeting,when a bake sale was suggested?!

I don't know if fundraisers for Head Start are legal, like one answerer said.

But if they are, how about this: Have all the kids make artwork (could be drawings, fingerpainting, clay sculptures, etc.) and sell it.
