Hey Guys,

I have been looking at a couple boards and have basically narrowed it down to:

SIMS Nexus

SIMS Absolute (retail $249.99, I could get it for $135)

Saloman Surface (retail $299.99, I could get it for $140)

1. Which one would you get and why? Also, which of those is a better brand?

Ok, now. I am about 5'9", weigh 140 pounds, and wear size 10 boots.

2. What length board should I get? I was going to get something between 155-159cm.

3. The Surface is a 249mm (24.9cm) wide board (157cm long). Will my boot size be ok for that? The boot hung over a bit (inch or so) on both the heel and toe. How much is too much for this?

4. As far as bindings go, should I get the Burton Freestyle, K2 mach, Saloman Force, Ride RX, Ride LX, or SIMS Combi?

5. As far as boots go, should I get the Burton Tribute or Vans Probo?

6. Do you like these boots and their color (beige)?

  1. okay dude, i have the best set up for you, its all burton though but i promice you will like it because i have been riding burton all my life, get the burton clash 155, burton moto boots, and burton cartel bindings (large), all this stuff is premo and the boots have speed zone lacing system, and the board is perfect because you can take it on anything from green runs to double black, and it also can be taken in the park, and the burton cartel bindings........ there is nothing to say there, all the pro reccomend them and there good for anything from park to groomed runs to bottemless pow, oh and also the boots are super comfortable and are also like the bindings and board and can be taken on anything, and plus u cant go wrong with burton

  2. 1. personally for me i'm more of a salomon person so if i were in your shoes i would grab the salomon (especially if its only $5 more) .... i rode my buddies salomon sanchez and it felt pretty good.

    2. get 155 and no more. if your tempted to grab that 159 DONT. too long. 155 is plenty.

    3. the 249mm waist is fine. if u feel insecure still just change the degrees so your toes are pointing more towards the ends of the board (i ride 15-15).

    4. in all honesty.....none of them. the k2 and sims look cheap.... the rides arent bad they both boast a "convertible" toe strap so you could go toe-capped but not a fan. spend a couple extra bucks and get a decent pair of bindings. honestly....burton cartels are amazing....missions are the cheaper version so those would work too.

    5. i'm a fan of burton boots and i've worn these and they were pretty comfy but look for a boot with an articulating heel. esentially the outer portion of the boot is not just 1 peice of leather or w/e its made of....it articulates.....makes the boot last longer and doesnt bulge at the sides.

now these (especially the white and black ones) you can visibly see the 2 part thingy i was talking about...articulation.

also, know your boots....generally thirtytwo is wider, burton/forum more mid and vans narrower

(P.S love the forum destroyer boots...still one of my favs.)

    6. they're brown...nothing special really.
