Need some help from someone in the know about the Nikon D40 and the D60????

Question

I am buying a camera at the end of the month and need some advice from someone who knows about the Nikon D40 and the Nikon D60. I basically want to buy the better camera. I am planning on taking up photography for fun. I also am having my first child next month so I need a good camera that will take quick pictures, both cameras seem to do that, so I just need some advice on which is the better camera, preferably from someone who knows both cameras. Thanks!!!!

hi, i have start with a nikon d60 but its not working propely so anyone have the service manual of it??
