  1. You should talk to your doctor about Luvox, almost a miracle drug to some suffering from OCD...and also, find a place or clinic, that specializes in OCD only...there are many support groups..the Luvox is fantastic, and while you are getting the proper therapy, you will be able to control it better. and forgive yourself sweetie...

  2. Are you getting any help with this, either with medication or counseling?  I would say that is the first thing to do to help yourself.

The second thing is to find a way to remind yourself that your rituals are not of actual help to you in the long run even if they are comforting for a moment.

The third thing is to find some other things to get into that are really good for you.  You would know what those are better than I, but it could be fitness if you are not fit, or getting out if you read too much, or getting with others if you tend to isolate.  You get the picture, I am sure, of breaking the pattern.

These things are hard to do alone, and please do not be hard on yourself.  It's great that you want to change!  Good luck with it all, and remember to use every tool available to you.

  3. Iam sorry you suffer with this horrible problem. it makes life very difficult especially trying to hide it from others around you. I have found that trying to fight it tends to make it worse.if you are not having treatment for this you should really seek help, dont suffer alone. personally, i found that medication helped best, you are young but they might consider a low dose if they think you would benefit from it. but as i said, dont suffer in silence. it is a common problem and people who care for you will understand and support you. very best wishes to you.

  4. i know you probably feel ashamed about the prospect of medication, but it's probably the best solution. it was the only thing that helped me. i tried to get rid of it on my own but i just didn't have the will power.
