  1. if you wanna play shot clear your front leg.but play defences.put away only the bad balls.keep eye on the ball.for more information in youtube cloverdale master classes videos.

  2. well thats the typical problem with lower order batsman .... often they are forced to play slog shots instead of staying at wicket for long time ...just improve your shot selection and try to avoid premeditated shots ...playing with straight bat instead of cross one is also helpful in bad patch ..for more tips visit http://www.rlca.com.pk/batting_tips.asp

  3. keep your eye on the ball

  5. Practice, practice and when you're tired of practicing, practice some more.

    Things to remember:

    1) Be comfortable in your stance (Possibly bend your knees slightly if you are comfortable as this is often the best stance to have)

    2) Try to stay balanced when playing a shot

    3) Target your strength shots

    4) Be confident

    5) Keep your eye on the ball and watch it all the way on to your bat

    6) When on the front foot, get your foot to the pitch of the ball and keep your weight going forward

    7) When on the back foot, get back and across the crease to give your self maximum time to play the stroke and wait for the ball. Lean slightly into the stroke

    8) Don't try to force the ball too hard

    9) Play each ball on its merit - wait for the bad ball

    10) When the bad ball arrives, take advantage

    Good luck!

  6. get a wicket stump, and get a golf ball, then hit the golf ball with the wicket stump against a wall or something, this will improve your hand eye coordination, and then it will make it easier for your timing, and should be able to hit the ball out of the middle of the bat. The great don bradman done this

  7. play offensive from being defensive. defend your wicket more. enjoy playing the game and it all flows well that way.

  8. Make sure when the bowler bowls the ball that you aren't leaning over. If you are off balance you can hit the ball in the air or miss it and get bowled. Also don't forget to watch the ball right onto the bat. This will help with your timing and if you watch the ball right onto the bat you will always hit the ball.  Make sure you are using your feet to get to the pitch of the ball. This is one of the most important things as a batsman, you must always make the right decisions and don't got at the ball half-hearted because you will get out if you don't go hard. Finally have fun out there. Don't get bogged down by a bowler because you will lose control and play a silly shot. Hope this helps.
