I have some additional info that I would like to include at the end of our program but am having some trouble wording it.

Here is what I would like to include-

The room we are booked in for the Reception which is the Ohio Room

Doors will open at 7:45

Hor d'ouevres, drinks and chocolate fountain will be available immediately

Dinner set for 8:30 buffet style with salad and roll service to the tables

To visit the photobooth for our picture scrapbook

Kids table set up in corner with activities

Here is what I have so far

The Celebration Begins

Receptions

address

Ohio Room

Doors open at 7:45

Please help yourself to hor d'ouevres, drinks and sweets at the chocolate fountain.

Dinner served at 8:30

Meanwhile please Say Cheese at the photobooth for our picture scrapbook.

Activities for children are available.

Can anyone help with a little more creative wording?

In case it matters, seating is open and dinner is buffet other than the salad and rolls being served to the tables.

Or is this okay what I have?

  1. What you have is good.  You don't need to include that the salad and rolls will be at the tables.  You could say Buffet Dinner served at 8:30. If I were a guest, I would be wondering about 2 things.  Do I get to have a fun photo to take home, or are they just for your scrapbook?  And, if I have kids, where do I take them for the children's activities?

    Otherwise it sounds great.

You could say "Activities for children are available at the Kids Corner".  Are you going to have someone at the kids corner doing the activities with the kids and supervising a little bit?

The other thing is that you have several long sentences and several short sentences.  Do you need everything to be on one line?  If you do, you could try:

7:45  hor d'ouevers, drinks, and chocolate fountain sweets

    8:30  buffet dinner

    During the Evening-

Please say "cheese" at the photo booth

Activities available for children at the Kids Corner

    Hope this is helpful

  2. Keep it simple, you don't need to include what food is being served in your program.  The program is mainly for the ceremony so that your guests know who is who.  You can simply put.

Please join us for cocktail hour at 7:45, place

Dinner will be served at 8:30.

That is it, no need to put too many details, they will see the chocolate fountain and everything else when they get there.  No need to specify where people sit, because they will find their place cards and table numbers.

    Good luck!
