  1. You can try flyers or ads in the paper, but your best bet is word of mouth from people you have worked with.  When people know you and like your work they will spread the news (you can also ask them to tell their friends/family/neighbors with kids that you are starting the buisness and maybe hand out some cards for them to pass out).

  2. flyers...going door to door to people you know who have kids and saying "hi my name is _____and if you need a baby sitter heres my card/flyer". make sure to tell them your days/rates and make sure its on the flyer too. :)

i'd be good to get a first aid and babysitters degree from those little classes the red cross does. :) you can put that you are trained and that makes parents feel better about leaving their kids with you.

    word of mouth....

    um.....yah. :D good luck!

  3. put up flyer's in your neighborhood.  invest in some stamps and mail out a free 1 hour trial period so parents can see how u are with their children.  talk to the officials at your local after school, community center, summer camp, where ever children are u need to be there with their parents.

  4. you could also attend a neighbor hood meeting to introduce yourself and meet parents.  If you live in a place with a community mail box - you can post notices there and near by apt complexes and neighborhoods.   Also, see if you and put a flyer up at near by hair salons and nail salons etc.  I would put why you are qualified ex.  Been babysitting for 2 years - love children- very patient and kind.  References available upon request and make sure you have about 3 people someone can call and get a reference from.  Good luck!

  5. ask if you can put flyers in a place where there's lots of kids like school or a pediatrician's office.

  6. Make flyers and hand them out or post them on bulletin boards at the local gym or grocery store.

Tell your friends and ask them to spread the word if anyone else needs your service.

Have a good niche and something that will catch the attention of moms with young kids.

Have some weeks where you will give a percent off to keep your clients.

    Have a good business plan.

Go toward those who have the age range of kids who you are planning to baby-sit.

I hope this helped!! I hope your business will be successful!! :)
