Need some info on symptoms of a ghostly possession. ?

I can not say demonic because they claimed it was the ghost that is rumored to haunt the area. It was very painful for them, putting one guy to his knees and he coughed a lot. I think they were making it all up, but I do not have much experience in that area of the paranormal. Ghost hunting I know about, but not this. Any help would be appreciated.

They could be faking it, they may not. So I suggest burning sage and saying the following prayer:

Ghosts, as in the souls of departed mortals, do not stick around "haunting", nor do they come back for visits, or communicate with this mortal world in any way... what are seen as "ghosts" are, in fact, manifestations of the forces of evil.

Evil dominates this world. Possession by such forces is a very real occurrence. The "symptoms" are often not noticed at all... but can be extremely violent in some cases...

There is no such thing as a "friendly ghost"... any such contact is a contact with evil... never make any deliberate contact with such forces...

Only a person with the Full Authority of God has the ability to deal with the forces of evil... there is no other "protection" from them... and those with The Authority of God are those of The Church(The True Christian Faith)... The True Church is not the Catholics.

They were probably making it up. I'm not saying that ghostly encounters can't be 100% real, but if they are then they're very rare and you should study the exact situation with precision and careful logic.

Kim,  The average spirit can not possessed an average human being... Simply because the average spirit is not in our dimension and this is why they need so much power to appear to us as a full blown apparition... And this is why most people see little balls of light which are also spirits... So the only spirits that can possessed a human being are either angelic or demonic...... And after the fall of satan and his followers, angels never again possessed a human body . But demonic forces possessed human all to often........ So whom ever it was that was possessed had to be possessed by a demonic spirit and not by some spirit that is haunting an area....... And many people seem to forget that demons can disguise themselves as what ever they wish to ...............
