I got a call today to come in for an interview. Some of the job responsibilities are sales planning, marketing development, recruiting, and training sales team and established broker relationship.

1** I need to know what type of questions might be asked on the interview.

(and)

2** They found my resume online, why would they have chosen me for the position when I have CLEARLY not done any of these things before?

If trained properly, I'm sure I could learn, but why choose me?

  1. Well, that depends. Was your resume on Monster by any chance?

I can only speak of my personal experiences with Monster and other job search engines which give employers the ability to contact potential employees. Chances are this is a sales intensive, commission based job. In almost any sales environment the turnover is HUGE, causing employers to actively seek new personnel. This doesn't mean the company is bad, or the job a poor choice, just that it may require a certain type of work that is deemed undesirable by many other people. Sales does not require a background in any particular field, hence why you received an interview.

As far as questions, I would expect your run of the mill open-ended questions. Probably quite a few questions about how you interact with other people.

    Hope this helps!
