Need some information on a theory test?

its roughly 3months ish untill my birthday..(2nd of november)

i already have my provisional licence even though it doesnt become valid until 2nd of november..i was having a look at booking a theory test for the middle of november..is it ok to book it now even though im only 16, but will be 17 when i sit it?
