  1. Chase dreams often stem from feelings of anxiety in your walking life. The way we respond to anxiety and pressure in real life is typically manifested as a chase dream. Running is an instinctive response to physical threats in our environment. Often in these dream scenarios, you are being pursued by some attacker, who wants to hurt or possibly kill you. You are running away, hiding, or trying to outwit your pursuer. Chase dreams may represent your way of coping with fears, stress or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting the situation, you are running away and avoiding it.Ask yourself who is the one chasing you and you may gain some understanding and insight on the source of your fears and pressure.

The pursuer or attacker who is chasing you in your dream may also represent a part of yourself. Your own feelings of anger, jealousy, fear, and possibly love, can assume the appearance of threatening figure. You may be projecting these feelings onto the unknown chaser. Next time you have a chase dream, turn around and confront your pursuer. Ask them why they are chasing you.

One may be consumed by their own anger, jealousy, love, or self-destructive behavior. For example, you may be drinking too much or exhibiting open hostility toward others around you. You may subconsciously be threatened by these actions which have been jeopardizing your relationships and/or career. Your dreams are a way of calling attention to these self-destructive actions.

A more direct analysis of chase dreams is the fear of being attacked. Such dreams are more common among women than men, who may feel physically vulnerable in the urban environment. These dreams are inspired by fears of violence and sexual assault in which we are so over-exposed from the media. The violence that the media portrays magnifies our fears and how at risk we all are.

Falling dreams are another theme that is quite common in the world of dreams. Contrary to a popular myth, you will not actually die if you do not wake up before your hit the ground during a fall.

As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in your work environment. You have lost your foothold and can not hang on or keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life. When you fall, there is nothing that you can hold on to. You more or less are forced toward this downward motion without any control. This lost of control may parallel a waking situation in your life.

Falling dreams also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in some circumstance or situation. It may be the fear of failing in your job/school, loss of status, or failure in love. You feel shameful and lack a sense of pride. You are unable to keep up with the status quo or that you don't measure up.

According to Freudian theory, dreams of falling indicate that you are contemplating giving into a sexual urge or impulse. You maybe lacking indiscretion.

Falling dreams typically occur during the first stage of sleep. Dreams in this stage are often accompanied by muscle spasms of the arms, legs, and the whole body. These sudden contractions, also known as myclonic jerks. Sometimes when we have these falling dreams, we feel our whole body jerk or twitch and we awaken from this jerk. It is thought that this jerking action is part of an arousal mechanism that allows the sleeper to awaken and become quickly alert and responsive to possible threats in the environment.

According to biblical interpretations, dreams about falling have a negative overtone and suggest that man is acting and walking according to his own way of thinking and not those of the Lord.

To dream that you attack someone, indicates that your ill-mood and temper may cause harm to another. You are releasing some pent-up frustration and anger. You feel that you have been wronged. Such feelings may be easier and safer for you to express in your dream.

To dream that you are being attacked by someone, signifies questions on your character and the need for you to defend yourself. You are feeling stressed, vulnerable and helpless. You may also be faced with difficult changed in your waking life.

  2. Is there something in your life that you are fearful of?

  3. my sisters get these dreams all the time. not a problem. your mind is probably thinking at night, and interprets these thoughts into weird, running dreams.

  4. All of the struggling to get back up, the falling down, the running away - all are symbolic of your anxieties surrounding a problem or situation which has consistently plagued you throughout your life - it must be some kind of character trait, or it may be something in your life which you cannot change (a family situation, health situation, etc), or maybe you can create change, but not very easily (the struggle to get back up).

You feel VERY powerless. Punching and missing, falling down, not being able to attack. I used to have dreams like this all of the time when I was stuck in a bad situation a few years ago & was facing people that I thought were stronger, bigger, and more capable than me (turns out of course, they weren't, not really).

The fact that your own weight is keeping you down makes me wonder if this problem is actually one which you have the power to change - after all it is your own weight which keeps you on the ground - try and figure out how to 'get back up' - this is what your dream is telling you.

Focus on building your strength & strengths in all areas: mental, physical, and spiritual and you will surely overcome your dilemma. Best of Luck.

  5. Is something very big in your life about to happen? You may just have a fear of the unknown. It may also be that you are struggling with something in your life like getting older. You can't fight getting older, you can't get away from it or the responsibility's.

  6. i don't think dreams mean anything there just a load of mixed up thoughts in your sleep

  7. You are anxious. You feel bogged down with some big worry. You are frustrated about this worry. Your dream is sorting out your anxieties.

  8. I would say that these dreams are representing something you are trying to avoid at all costs. This something you are avoiding is something that actually needs to be paid attention to.

What you are avoiding in real life?

Your dreams are a good way of telling you what problems need to be dealt with in your waking life.

For the attacking dreams, where you also feel weak and are unable to make an impact, You can look at it almost as literally as the first dreams of running away.

You feel incompetent in something you need to do. You feel as though you are not capable of handling a situation properly. You may have some anger towards a person or problem that you are dealing with.

Interpreting dreams always depends on what is actually going on in your waking life.

Dreams can offer ways of resolving problems as well as letting you know what problems you really need to deal with. Once you resolve the problem, these types of dreams will stop and you will rest more peacefully.

    Hope this helps!

    Best wishes.

  9. i personnaly believe dreams are a link to what is going on in the deeper mind.

i used to have similar dreams - running, unable to escape, being hunted, running with someone - losing them being unable to protect them, falling - and waking just before you hit the ground.....

i can say as i have got older and dealt with little issues i no longer have dreams (vivid dreams like that anyway - fear inducing haha) - i can honestly say i think its due to having dealt with my ****.

Its a sign of something - im sure deep down you know what it is - deal with it - forgive who needs forgiving - let go of any negative emotions you've been holding onto..etc..

    good luck man
