  1. (1)Chang - soccer Alvin - Raquetball  Betina - Tennis

    (2)2300

    (5)Ted, Terry, Thomas, Troy

  2. Some of these aren't so much math problems as logic and/or ratio problems.  However, I really do believe you should have asked this in Homework Help, not Trivia.

    1. The only sport that doesn't use a racquet is soccer, so that has to be what Alvin plays.  Chang doesn't play racquetball, so that only leaves tennis.  That means Betina must play racquetball.

    2.  This is a ratio, which can be solved by cross-multiplying.  If 5 of the 115 whales showed up, then 100 will give you x whales. 5 over 115 = 100 over x.  Solve for x.

    3. Same logic as #2.

    4. Same logic as #2.

    5. If Thomas placed before Terry but after Troy, then the order is, so far,

    Troy, Thomas,  Terry.

Since Terry placed before Ted, that means Ted was last.  The final order, from first to last, is:

    Troy, Thomas, Terry, Ted.

    Hope that helps!
