  1. my favorite food ever!!!! Chicken Paprikas:

(this is just what's in my head, not official)

2 1/2-3 lbs chicken pieces (not cooked)

    4 lbs sour cream

    a lot of paprika

    about 1/4 c. chopped onion

    oil

    water

you coat the bottom of a pan in oil and add the onion, sprinkle with paprika. cook on medium until the onions are translucent (don't burn!). then add chicken, sprinkle w/ paprika and cover. cook for about ten minutes, moving the chicken around once or twice. then add enough water to cover the chicken. cook for 30-40 minutes (chicken should be done). while that's cooking, mix the sour cream with enough paprika to turn it a salmon color. after times up, remove the chicken from the pot and sprinkle =). then whisk the sour cream in to the pot. put the chicken back in and cook for another 5-10 min.

this makes a gravy that i like best over rice =D yummy! i have also heard of it over noodles and with dumplings.

for dumplings, drop the dumpling dough in the water after removing chicken and before you add the sour cream.

i hope you like this. remember: the more paprika the better!!!

  2. My favorite quicky that I've been making for years (have always gotten good reviews - my 3 1/2 yr old LOVES it):

    Easy Parmesan Chicken:

    MIX:

    1/2c bread crumbs

    3/4c parmesan

    1tsp garlic powder

    2tsp ground mustard

    1tsp parsley flakes

**** This coating is usually good for 3-4 uses - I put the extra in a container and keep it in the freezer.

Melt approx. 1/2c butter (enough to cover desired amount of chicken b*****s). Cover baking pan in tinfoil, place thawed chicken in pan, drizzle butter over chicken, lightly spread parmesan coating over chicken with spoon or fingers. Cover with tinfoil. Bake in the oven at 375 for about 20 mins. Remove tinfoil. Bake for another 10-15 min.    I don't recommend using the parmesan coating as a "shake n' bake" type deal. To much flavor.

  3. I liked your cookie recipe so I shall give you a never fail to please casserole. Boil macaroni, 12oz bag.  Use hamburger or sweet italian sausage 1lb, fry up with small chopped onion,( garlic optional), drain grease out, put in casserole with 1 can drained corn, 1 small jar pimento and drained noodles. In a sauce pan warm up 1 can mushroom soup, 1 8oz cream cheese(regular) a little milk to thin 1/4 cup. When it is warm and blened pour over casserole, salt and pepper it and bake 350 for 25 min.

  4. wow that actually worked i thought it was gonna be spam

  5. Baked Spinach Chicken Alfredo with Whole Wheat Penne

    Ingredients

    Casserole:

    2 medium chicken b*****s (roughly 8 ounces)

    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs

    1/4 c. parmesan cheese, grated

    1 tbsp. italian seasoning

    Cooking spray

13 oz. whole wheat penne, cooked

    1/4 c. parmesan cheese, shredded

    Alfredo Sauce:

    2 tbsp. margarine or butter

    2 tbsp. flour

    1 1/2 c. skim milk

    1/2 c. parmesan cheese, shredded

    1/4 tsp. black pepper

    1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1-10 oz. package frozen spinach; thawed, drained, squeezed dry

    Directions

Begin with the casserole parts. Heat a large skillet liberally coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Slice chicken b*****s into small bite size slices. Mix together bread crumbs, grated parmesan and italian season on a plate. Dredge each side of each chicken breast piece in the bread crumb mixture and transfer directly to skillet. Cook until browned on each side, or 2-3 minutes. Transfer browned chicken to the side.

Onto the alfredo sauce, melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Whisk in flour to form a paste (a roux), cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Add 1/3 of the milk, whisk vigourously to remove lumps, add remaining milk and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Once sauce has hit desired thickness, stir in cheese, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat until cheese is melted and all is incorporated. Remove from heat. Add spinach and stir virgurously until spinach is well distributed and no large chunks exist. Then add cooked penne. Stir until penne is well coated with alfredo sauce.

Spread penne/sauce mixture into a square casserole dish coated with cooking spray. Layer cooked chicken on top. Sprink with remaining parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through.

    Makes 6 equal servings.

    Number of Servings: 6

let simmer for 5 minutes or until hot.

** my girlfriend doesn't like sloppy joes but she liked this recipe.  it's very very good.

  9. I saw a great recipe for appetizers the other day and I want to make it.

What you do is toast a few slice of whole wheat bread. With a circular cookie cutter, cut circles out.  Then, take hamburger meat and form into  little circles. Add cheese if you want. Then grill them.  Put the grilled burger onto the small circle of bread. Add a small slice of tomato and lettuce if you want.  Stick a toothpick through it to secure.  It looked tasty and really cute!

  10. 2 1/2 cups penne pasta, cooked as directed

    4 tablespoons butter

    1 garlic clove, crushed

    1/3 cup onion, sliced

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    4 tablespoons flour

1 (15 oz.) can chicken broth

    1/2 cup sour cream

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/8 teaspoon pepper

2 roasted chicken b*****s, cut into bite size pieces

    red pepper flakes, optional

    grape tomatoes, sliced, optional

While the penne is cooking, melt butter in a medium sauce pan.  Cook garlic and onions with 1/4 teaspoon salt, over medium heat, until onions have softened.  Add flour and cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Stir in broth, stirring frequently until sauce comes to simmer.  Remove from heat.

PLEASE STAND BY FOR A KID FRIENDLY TIP

If you have one on hand, use an immersion blender to puree onions into sauce for a smoother texture.  Or, carefully move sauce to a blender with the lid secured, and pulse the sauce until smooth.  Move sauce back to pan and stir in sour cream until it has melted.  The kiddos will never know about the onions and garlic.

If you don't have to worry about kids, then simply stir in the sour cream until it has melted.  Be sure the pasta is well drained, then move to a large serving bowl.  Top pasta with chicken pieces.  Pour sauce over hot pasta, tossing well to get all that creamy sauce inside the pasta.  Allow to stand a few minutes before serving, so sauce can thicken. Garnish individual plates with grape tomatoes and red pepper flakes.

This recipe is so good I can't wait to make it again.
