  1. I spent a week in Madrid. There is so much to see there. The Prado is 1 day. A trip to Toledo is well worth the time. Same with Segovia.  We didn't get to the Costa Del Sol, but I heard it is great there.

  2. Go to a Bull Fight. See Cordoba &Granada. Dance in Seville. Dining in Barcelona at night is incredible. See the castle there. Ride through the olive orchards.

  3. Travel to Spain Barcelona as it now has every leisure and sports facility possible since 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing. See  http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  4. Just click on this site, you will find what you are looking for and probably more. If you are traveling to the Malaga area I can give you first hand information on many of the inland villages and cheap places to stay. Just email me at Yahoo

  5. my most favorite place in all of europe is spain.  i loved all the culture, shopping, food, beach and simply the relaxed european lifestyle and history.  if you are serious about going to spain, i recommend you go to a book store and get a travel guide like the let's go, lonely planet or rough guide.  they have all the information you need that is up to date.  also they have great travel tips for you.  having it in hand when  you are there will be of greatest use to you.  it is the easiest way to learn about spain and maximize your time when you are there.

my only suggestion to you is beware of pick pocketers.  they are all over in europe but spain is notoriously the worst.  i had no problems when i was there since i was well prepared with a thin money pouch under my pants.  always hide it.  i have heard first hand horrible stories of people getting picked in spain.  i am pretty sure barcelona has reputation of being the #1 city for it.  they will steal everything and anything if you are not mindful.

with that warning out of the way, i strongly recommend spain.  it is easy to get around.  the people are friendly and it is affordable.

  6. I agree with what the other people said about Madrid, Barcelona, etc.  Also, go to the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao- it is amazing!  Go to la Concha beach in San Sebastian- it is very beautiful!  Do not go anywhere north of Madrid during the fall.  I went in late September, which I found out is the rainy season.  I love Spain, and can't wait to go back and visit Seville, Granada and points south.  I am also interested in seeing Galicia which has a very Celtic influence.  Enjoy your trip!
