Okay I got Ulead 11 [not plus] a few days ago and am having some serious problems!

1.) Okay, the DVD file I am using is a .avi but when I try to upload it, it says the file is coruppted, then when I used .wmv it was able to download but it was all multi colors and super slow and choppy! Also I could not seperate it into different scenes

2.) My Ulead is SUPER slow, anyone have any ideas on how to make it faster?

3.) how do you crop a video? I know there's a video filter that says 'crop' but it crops it then zooms out to show the whole picture, I want it so that it's zoomed in and stuff and stays that way!

Please help! Question one is the most important but the others would be helpful!

Thanks!

  1. Well, I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download ConvertXtoDVD here:

    http://www.burner-software.com/AVI-to-DV...

It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank DVD

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own ANIMATED DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

  2. am happy with Ulead... started with earlier versions, but learned a lot.

    - quite surprised that ur DvD file is in avi?  shud be vob. possibly ur files are corrupted and shows pixelation - w/c does not come from Ulead. DvD files are really not a good choice for video editing as the mpeg2 files are highly compressed. If u cud get hold of the original source files (and in avi- slightly compressed - one of the best for editing) that wud be best. The quality of the Ulead output is only expected to equal or lbe esser (often degraded due to decompr/compr) than the quality of ur source file.

    - slow is relative to resources, PC processor speed, RAM, hdd speed & fragmentation and amount of multi-tasking. If editing is heavy, a dedicated external drive is recommended so that the hdd can be reformated often, not just defragged. Likewise, corrupted files can slow down the process. Some apps render in the background.
