Need some urgent advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

okay so my son lost the keys to my truck and i have searched and searched and can't find them anywhere. i heard that i can get another key made even though i don't have the original one. now i was just wondering if anyone knew how much that would cost or a website where i can get some information. thank you!!!

These days many manufacturers can specify what key is required for a car simply by supplying the VIN number and proof of ownership (like your registration card) to the dealer.

Had the same problem in CA.  We went to the dealer with our registration showing the SN # and they reissued a key and remote entry for about $35.00.

Hope that helps...you may wish to ask them to issue a spare also.

Go to the dealership, of what kind of car you have, Ford, Pontiac, Cadillac, etc

Give them your VIN and they should be able to make you a new key there. It will probably cost around $50 depending on what kind of car you have, and if it has a chip in it.
