Question:

Need suggestions about a carseat?

I just switched my daughter over to a convertible car seat but still rear facing. I noticed when she falls asleep her head falls forward really far because there is no support like the infant seats have and we cannot recline it anymore because of our car.

What can I do to keep her more comfortable? Do those pillows that wrap around the neck help? Or do the older babies hate them?

Thanks

  1. I've seen parents use neck supports like the one here, though this one is super cute!

I honestly think it bothers you more than it bothers her (having her head fall forward). But try the pillow and see. She probably doesn't care. Or won't once she falls asleep anyway.

  2. They say that babies neck don't hurt when they sleep like that, so don't worry.

  3. You can get two "pillows" that, rather than wrapping around their neck, velcro over the straps.  They simultaneously prevent their head from falling forward because it creates a "v" of sorts for their head, but no matter which side the head tilts to, there will be a pillow.

You can get them at Babies R Us for about $8.  They come in green, pink, blue, and either orange or yellow...I highly recommend them.  They will be with the car seat accessories.

I hope this helps, and wish you the best!

  4. the wrap around pillows work great as long as they dont have the little foam balls in them they are very dangerous
