I'm trying to remember the name of a restaurant on the Place de la Republique in Paris. I think it may be a German restaurant, certainly had some German food on the menu. But what I really loved here was the seafood. They have a fresh fish counter selling seafood outside, and two large tanks in the lobby with lobster and crab in them. The seafood was really really good and I want to visit it again when I'm there at the end of this month. From what I remember, it was located on the south east side of the square, certainly to the left of the Holiday Inn if you're stood with the hotel doors behind you. It may be on Voltaire but I'm not sure. Green canopy I think, lots of wood inside, at least two floors. Please help... thats all I can remember!!

  1. HOPE you find what you are looking for?

  2. I think you are talking about "Jennys". It's an Alsacian rest. with seafood, sauerkraut, etc.

  3. http://www.bundestag.de/htdocs_f/direct/...

  4. It might be Léon de Bruxelles!

"On 8 Place de la République you will find Léon de Bruxelles, popular with locals and famous for its mouth watering moules (mussels) with French fries. The place is very busy so reservations are recommended. Contact the restaurant at (+33) 1 43 38 28 69. "

There's a photo on this site & yes, green awning/southeast side of the square!
